{"id":4,"date":"2019-06-14T07:56:22","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T07:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amsterdamjazzclub.com\/?page_id=4"},"modified":"2022-06-23T11:35:59","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T11:35:59","slug":"dit-is-de-homepage","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.amsterdamjazzclub.com\/en\/dit-is-de-homepage\/","title":{"rendered":"History"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"font-size:15px\">The idea was set up by Carla Beekman, a jazz double bass player from Amsterdam, who started the first Amsterdam Jazzclub for a hotel in Switzerland and since then succesful organises these projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"font-size:15px\">She studied double bass\/jazzmusic at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory and attended masterclasses from well known double bassplayers like Hein van de Geyn, Red Mitchell, Rufus Reid, Todd Coolman and Ray Brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"font-size:15px\">Known for her nice swing and sound she supported many bands. In Europe she acted with different combos in Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria and recorded two cd\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdamjazzclub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/AJC-Audio-bluesy-bite-jazztrio.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Het idee is ontwikkeld door Carla Beekman een contrabassist uit Amsterdam.
